That’s why Glocal Roots initiated a safe space for women and their little children only. The We are One-Center on Samos provides comfort and warmth, helping women to regain their sense of dignity. Like all NGO’s on the island, We are One is dependent on donations to keep on existing into 2020. And they’re all struggling with the Greek Government’s new strict measures that attempt to solve the humanitarian crisis but in fact most likely will damage basic human rights even further.
